I haven't posted in a year. Allot has happened. My father-in-law died of stage four lung cancer on January 17th of last year. We sold our car only to be out of money again by September 2010. No mortgage payments have been made since September 2010 on both our primary house and our house in TN. In Jan of last year, a pipe busted in our TN house and did $40,000 worth of damages. Thank god the insurance paid and we fixed everything. We'll guess what happened again one year, almost to the day, the pipe busted again. The same guy called us that called us last year. I am disabled now and I am on disability and get $674.00 a month because I have Secondary Progressive MS. I am looking for a job (I don't know how I am going to handle) and my husband is also. I can't get the doctors to understand the pain I have. Not only in my legs, but also in my neck and my arm. I can't take morphine; I had a seizure when they tested me. There is no one out there that will hire two people in their 50's. I am getting assistance to help pay my electric bill. I don't know how much more I can take.
My husband and I used to have a successful bakery on our farm. We were forced to sell because my father-in-law wanted to retire and my brother-in-law wanted to be a big shot. They were both making 6 figure incomes. My father-in-law could have retired. My brother-in-law had mexicans doing 90% of the farm work. All he had to do is spray. He even could have taught one of them. My husband and I got up at 2:30am every day, 12 am on weekends. We were not making 6 figures, but were happy. We paid our bills on time, put our kids through school and took vacations. WE WORKED HARD!!
I really dislike my brother -in-law (almost hate). He has no job either. Drinks beer all day. His wife left him and his kids won't have any thing to do with him. His daughter thinks he has scerosis of the liver. We'll he brought it on himself, but the rest of us are paying.
We could have kept the bakery going, but we were told that that land would sell fast. As it turns out, they lost the remaining land that they did not sell and also lost the land that they purchased when they sold the first half of the farm. They were going to be big shots and develop. Took out a million loan for development costs and lost land to the bank because they could not make the $6,000 interest payments per month.
I am 50 years old with Secondary Progressive MS. My husband is 55 with health issues and can't find a job. We used to have a sucessful bakery business, but unfornately, family wanted to sell farm which bakery was located. Things have fallen apart. I am currently working a job which I cannot handle, physically. Since I can't work full time because of my MS and husband can't find work, we have gotten really behind in our bills. We have sold part of our property for almost nothing so we can try to stay afloat. We have run out of money and have no more to pay bille. Our bills run about $4,000 per month and I am only making about $800. - $1000. I have been hoping for a miracle, but it's not coming.
